How Corporate Sponsorship Works

How will you work with us?

When you sponsor a project for the Integrated Product Development course, students dedicate a full semester to researching the stakeholders in context, analyzing opportunities, generating concepts, and developing and refining a final concept/solution. We ask you that you assign a point person from your company to answer student questions, supply necessary resources, and monitor the team’s progress. The development of your project will follow the Carnegie Mellon semester timeline:

Who sponsors an IPD project?

Sponsorships come from multinational corporations and startups from healthcare, transportation, consumer goods, and industrial safety equipment enterprises. Working collaboratively, our innovation-obsessed students tackle dynamic projects ranging from business-to-business to consumer; physical products to services and software; high-tech to mass-produced consumables.
