American Marketing Association (AMA)
AMA is CMU's premier marketing organization that gives students the opportunity to practice business skills and meet new people. Our organization has several committees (case competitions, consulting, design, social impact, and more) that give you the chance to learn and apply skills within a tight-knit community. We’re open to students of all years and majors!
Black-Latino Business Association (BLBA)
BLBA is an inclusive community that strives to help underrepresented minorities on campus connect with one another and enhance their professional skills in an authentic and impactful way. By tapping into our alumni network and connecting you with CMU resources and industry professionals, we provide an excellent springboard for everyone to launch their careers.
Carnegie Mellon Business Association (CMBA)
CMBA is an organization that seeks to prepare students for the professional world of business. As a channel for developing soft skills, CMBA supplements academic curriculum through real-world experience in establishing connections with professors and industry professionals. The mission of CMBA is to provide students with the opportunity to learn about and engage with the various aspects of business and the professional world. From networking to industry panels to LinkedIn workshops, we aim to help our fellow peers hone the skills relevant to interviewing, searching for jobs, and presenting well in any professional industry. Business Technology Group (CMUBTG)
Hello and welcome to the Business Technology Group! We specialize in applied technology that improves work, play, and education for CMU’s college experience. Our mission is to provide undergraduates interested in technology with a strong understanding of potential career paths and offer them opportunities to gain hands-on experience in their areas of interest. Economics Club
We are a group for undergraduates interested in economic research. Our primary goal is to create a forum where students can engage with economic research alongside their peers in a relaxed setting. There are no requirements to join and students are welcome to engage in however many of the group’s activities they find interesting.
HOX
Eta Omega Chi (HOX) is the only Chinese Business Fraternity at CMU. We strive to build a close-knit inclusive community to share valuable connections and extraordinary opportunities for those who are interested in pursuing a career in the Greater China Region. We also provide resources and guidance that help our members to fit in the Chinese business/job-seeking landscape. We were established at UC Berkeley in 2014, and has now expanded to UCD, UCLA, UCSD, UNC, and Babson College.
Moneythink
Moneythink is an American educational non-profit organization that aims to increase the financial capability of American youth by training college volunteers to serve as financial mentors for low-income high school students. Our mission is built on the promise of a prosperous, inclusive, and equitable society for all.
Scholars of Finance
At Scholars of Finance, our nation-wide mission statement is to inspire character and integrity in the finance leaders of tomorrow. Within our branch at Carnegie Mellon, we strive to develop those traits within every member of our organization through large symposiums, speaker series, professional mentorship, and value forums. In doing so, we endeavor to build a future in which the finance leaders of tomorrow steward the world's capital to serve the greater good.
Scottie Ventures
Scottie Ventures is a student organization that teaches skills to aspiring venture capitalists through classroom-style educational sessions and experiential learning opportunities including individual and team presentations, competitions, and real spring internships with VC firms. Our focus on the real-world application of skills taught by our leadership team is matched with our alumni involvement and internship work with our partner VC and PE firms across the nation.
Smart Woman Securities (SWS)
Smart Woman Securities is committed to providing financial education to and cultivating a strong community among women across various disciplines. We also work to support and prepare our members for the financial services industry. Don't worry if you don't have previous finance knowledge or experience, we'll teach you everything you need to know!
Stock Talks
Stock Talks is a discussion platform for the conversation and analysis of the stock market. Stock Talks aims to open discussion of the stock market to the community, while teaching students how to use their interests and skills in searching for internships and full-time work.
Tepper Finance Group (TFG)
The Tepper Finance Group (TFG) is an undergraduate organization that aims to foster a collaborative community for CMU students interested in finance. Consisting of five different sub-organizations (Introductory Finance Society, Tartan Student Fund, Sales and Trading Academy, Investment Banking Academy, and the Research and Asset Management Academy), the TFG provides students with a variety of ways (workshops, investment pitches, recruiting assistance, etc.) to advance their educational and professional development goals in relation to finance.
Tepper Undergraduate Real Estate Club (TUREC)
TUREC seeks to prepare students for investment and careers in real estate by developing a practical understanding of real estate finance and providing opportunities to build networks in the industry. Through lecture-based workshops, guest speaker events, and hands-on projects, we intend to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the complexities of real estate.
Undergraduate Consulting Club (UCC)
In addition to being an organization for students interested in pursuing consulting as a career after graduation, UCC is also the parent organization of Consulting Academy, which hosts events once or twice a month on topics related to “What is consulting?”, how to approach a case interview, networking, and more. Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Association (UEA)
The Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Association helps students at CMU and across the nation interested in entrepreneurship and innovation dream the impossible and accomplish the remarkable. Through our workshops with industry professionals, VC competitions, mentorship programs, and company outings, we hope to give students the push they need to begin their journey of developing their very own startups.
Women in Business (WIB)
Women in Business (WIB) empowers women to become confident and successful business leaders by creating a supportive community of members and promoting gender equality in the workforce through professional development programming. WIB CMU will provide professional development opportunities to its members through networking events, educational workshops, speakers, mentorship programs, and more.
180 Degrees Consulting (180DC)
180 Degrees consulting is at the intersection of social good and intellectual curiosity. Our student consultants come from different majors all across campus, and we collectively use our strengths to make an impact in our solutions.
